Convert XM to WMA Format

1. Download WMA MP3 Converter
   Download Link: http://www.wma-mp3.net/download/wmamp3_setup.exe
   
   
2. Choose XM Files



Click "Add Files" button to choose XM files and add them to conversion list.


Choose one or more XM file(s) you want to convert and then click "Open".


3. Convert



Click "Convert to WMA" button to convert all XM files into WMA format.

Right-click converted item and choose "Play Destination" to play the destination file, choose "Browse Destination Folder" to open Windows Explorer to browse the destination file.

What is XM?
XM, standing for "extended module", is an audio file type introduced by Triton's Fast Tracker 2. XM introduced multisampling-capable instruments with volume and panning envelopes, and basic sample compression. It also expanded the available effect commands and channels, added 16-bit sample support, and offered an alternate frequency table for portamentoes. XM is a common format for many chiptunes.

What is WMA?
Short for Windows Media Audio, a Microsoft file format for encoding digital audio files similar to MP3 though can compress files at a higher rate than MP3. WMA files, which use the ¡°.wma¡± file extension, can be of any size compressed to match many different connection speeds, or bandwidths.
